The tip comes from the west and prevails in the service industry of western countries. It is very common that customers pay tips to the people who have provided service to them.
小费起源于西方，并且在西方国家的服务行业很流行，顾客给为他们服务的人员小费，是非常正常的事。
Especially in America, you should pay tips when you are living in a hotel, dinning in a restaurant, moving, having a haircut or having shoes brushed. According to statistics, there are 35 service industries that need to tip in America and 29 in Spain, 25 in Canada, and 24 in Italy.
尤其是在美国，当你住酒店，在餐馆就餐，打出租车，剪头发或是刷鞋时，你都应该付小费。据统计，在美国有35项服务需要付小费，西班牙有29项，加拿大有25项，意大利有24项。
但在新加坡，付小费是被禁止的，如果付小费，则会被认为服务质量差，日本和澳大利亚也都没有付小费的习惯。所以出国之前最好先查清楚目的地国家的风俗，以免出错。
